The Spirit of Beauty clip was created in New York. Depicting a small winged fairy, it was intended as a symbol of hope. The first ballerina clips came into being during the same period, initiating a tradition emblematic of Van Cleef & Arpels.


Opening of the New York boutique

Established in New York since 1939, the Maison opened its first American boutique at 744 Fifth Avenue.
