H.S.H. Princess Grace of Monaco: Diamonds on the Rock

In 1956, American actress Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III, thus becoming Princess of Monaco. To celebrate their union, the Prince offered his bride a Van Cleef & Arpels wedding set resplendent with pearls and diamonds, which remained in her collection throughout her life. A few months later, Van Cleef & Arpels was named “Patented supplier of the Principality of Monaco.”

Already a client before her engagement, H.S.H Princess Grace of Monaco enriched her collection over the years with High Jewelry pieces such as the diamond and sapphire Marguerite clip (1956), as well as creations for day-to-day brilliance, including several Alhambra long necklaces and animal clips from the “La Boutique” collection.
